Overview
When creating a policy in amplo, you’ll first choose the policy structure that best fits the insured’s coverage needs. amplo supports two policy types: Monoline and Package.
The right choice depends on how coverage should be organized, how many lines of business are needed, and whether those coverages should be written together or separately. Some insureds require a single, standalone coverage, while others benefit from bundling multiple coverages under one coordinated policy.
Monoline
A monoline policy covers one specific line of insurance (e.g., General Liability only or Property only). You may choose this type of policy when:
The business only needs one type of coverage.
They want flexibility to place different coverages with different carriers.
They need highly customized or specialized coverage.
It may be more cost-effective for a single exposure.
