Last updated: April 29, 2026
Overview
If you see an "Error: 401, Unauthorized" message when accessing VerunaDocs on Safari or Chrome on a mobile device, the issue may be related to browser cookie settings or cached data. This article explains how to resolve the error.
Adjusting cookie settings
VerunaDocs requires third-party cookies to function on mobile devices, but most mobile browsers block them by default. Follow the steps for your browser below to enable the necessary cookie settings.
Safari settings
Open the Settings app on your mobile device.
Click on Apps.
Scroll down to find and tap Safari.
Under Privacy & Security, disable Prevent Cross-Site Tracking to allow some third-party tracking.
Click Advanced.
Toggle Block All Cookies off.
Chrome settings
Open the Chrome app.
Tap the three dots (...) in the corner and select Settings.
Go to Privacy and Security.
Select Delete browsing data.
Verify that Cookies, Site Data is checked, or adjust privacy settings.
Select Delete data.
Clearing browser cache
If adjusting cookie settings doesn't resolve the issue, clear your browser's cache and cookies. This step removes any stored authentication data that may be causing conflicts and forces a fresh connection to VerunaDocs.
Safari: Follow the official Apple instructions for clearing cache and cookies.
Chrome: Follow the official Google instructions for clearing browsing data.
After clearing the cache, restart your browser app and try accessing VerunaDocs again.
